This privacy policy explains how Yskamer handles the personal data of guests, website visitors and business contacts. We comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This is a translation of the Dutch privacy policy (Privacybeleid); if the two differ, the Dutch version prevails.
1. Who we are
Spui Mannen V.O.F., trading as Yskamer, is the controller for the processing described in this policy.
- Studio: Beulingstraat 21-H, 1017 BA Amsterdam
- Registered address: Spuistraat 58-3, 1012 TV Amsterdam
- Chamber of Commerce: 97329355, VAT: NL868005137B01
- Email: amsterdam@yskamer.nl
2. What data we process
When you book or buy
- Name, email address, phone number
- Booking history (sessions, date, duration) and your package, Intro or membership balance
- Payment data. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never receive your full card details.
- Your confirmation of the health questions. We only store that you confirmed them, no medical details.
When you book through a partner platform
(Urban Sports Club, Wellhub, ClassPass, Treatwell and similar)
- The data the platform shares with us for your booking, usually your name, email address and the booking itself. The platform is responsible for the data you enter there.
When you contact us by email, WhatsApp or a form
- Your name, email address or phone number, and the content of your message.
When you sign up for the newsletter
- Email address and, optionally, first name.
When you visit the website
- Technical data such as IP address, browser and device.
- With your consent: pages visited, clicks and session duration (Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity), and data for measuring advertising (Google Ads, Meta).
Business contacts
- For companies and organisations we approach about a collaboration: name, role and business email address, taken from public sources such as their own website, and our correspondence.
3. Purposes and legal bases
| Purpose | Legal basis |
|---|
| Carrying out your booking, purchase or membership, including confirmations and reminders | Performance of a contract |
| Processing payments | Performance of a contract |
| Answering your questions, including via our WhatsApp assistant | Legitimate interest / performance of a contract |
| Service emails about your balance, for example that your Intro or package is about to expire | Performance of a contract / legitimate interest |
| Offers for similar services to existing guests, by email | Legitimate interest (soft opt-in); you can unsubscribe in every email |
| The newsletter | Your consent |
| Analysing website use | Your consent via the cookie banner |
| Measuring and improving advertising, including reporting a booking as a conversion to Google Ads | Your consent via the cookie banner |
| Business collaborations | Legitimate interest; you can object in every email |
| Legal (tax) obligations | Legal obligation |
Emails based on your bookings. We sometimes send existing guests an email that fits their visits, such as a reminder that their Intro is about to expire or an offer for a prepaid package. To do this, we group guests based on their bookings. This has no legal effects for you, and you can always unsubscribe.
4. Our WhatsApp assistant
When you message us on WhatsApp, a digital assistant answers some questions and can help you book. Your messages pass through WhatsApp (Meta) and are processed by an AI model from Anthropic. Yskamer staff can read and take over the conversation. We only use your messages to help you, not to train AI models. Prefer to talk to a person? Say so in the chat or email amsterdam@yskamer.nl.
After your visit we may send you one WhatsApp message asking how it was. Reply STOP if you’d rather not receive it.
5. Retention
- Booking and invoice data: 7 years (tax obligation)
- Customer data: up to 2 years after your last booking or purchase
- WhatsApp conversations: we keep the content no longer than needed to handle your question; technical logs are deleted automatically after about 14 days. Anything from a conversation that ends up in your booking follows the retention periods for bookings.
- Newsletter data: until you unsubscribe
- Gift vouchers: until used or expired, plus the tax retention period for the payment
- Business contacts: up to 2 years after the last contact, or sooner if you object
- Cookies and analytics: as listed in the cookie declaration below, usually 14 months for analytics data
6. Who we share data with
