Terms and Conditions

These terms apply to all bookings, purchases and visits at Yskamer, a trade name of Spui Mannen V.O.F. By booking, buying or visiting our studio, you agree to these terms. This is a translation of the Dutch terms (Algemene Voorwaarden); if the two differ, the Dutch version prevails.

1. Definitions

  • Yskamer: Spui Mannen V.O.F., trading as Yskamer, studio at Beulingstraat 21-H, 1017 BA Amsterdam, Chamber of Commerce (KvK) 97329355.
  • Guest: the person who books, buys or visits.
  • Session: a sauna and ice bath session of 25 or 55 minutes, a 15-minute Ice Bath Only session, or a Private Spa.
  • Class: a guided breathwork session in a small group.
  • Intro: our introductory offer of three sessions for new guests.
  • Prepaid package: a prepaid bundle of sessions (credits).
  • Membership: an ongoing agreement for recurring access, monthly or annual.
  • Gift voucher: a voucher issued by Yskamer.
  • Partner platform: an external platform through which you can book Yskamer, such as Urban Sports Club, Wellhub, ClassPass or Treatwell.

2. Scope

These terms apply to all agreements between Yskamer and the Guest. Exceptions only apply if agreed in writing (including email).

If you book through a partner platform, that platform’s terms apply to payment, cancellation and your membership with them. Our house rules and health and safety rules (articles 9 to 11) always apply, however you book.

3. Booking

You can book via yskamer.nl, our booking system Bookeo, WhatsApp or a partner platform. Walk-ins are welcome if there is space; we recommend booking ahead.

Your booking is confirmed once you receive a confirmation by email (or, for partner platforms, through that platform). No confirmation? Email amsterdam@yskamer.nl.

After your visit we may send you one WhatsApp message about your experience. Reply STOP to opt out.

4. Prices and payment

All prices are in euros and include VAT. Current prices are on yskamer.nl.

  • Online: payment when booking via Bookeo and our payment partner Stripe (including iDEAL, credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Klarna).
  • At the studio: debit card, credit card or cash.
  • Memberships: monthly by credit card. iDEAL or SEPA direct debit is possible on request.

A session is only confirmed once payment is received, unless you book with a prepaid package, membership, gift voucher or through a partner platform.

5. Cancelling and changing

  • 24 hours or more before the start: cancel or reschedule free of charge, via Bookeo or by email.
  • Less than 24 hours before the start, or no-show: you pay the full price. If you booked with a prepaid package, membership or Intro, the session (credit) is used.

This also applies to classes. In case of serious circumstances beyond your control (such as illness or an accident), email amsterdam@yskamer.nl; we look at each case individually and help you reschedule.

If you arrive late, your session still ends at the scheduled time.

If Yskamer has to cancel a session (for example due to a technical fault), you can choose between rescheduling free of charge or a refund of the amount or credit paid.

6. Intro, prepaid packages and gift vouchers

Intro

  • Three sessions of 25 or 55 minutes for €39, valid for three months from purchase.
  • For new guests and guests with no more than two previous bookings. One Intro per person.
  • Personal and non-transferable.

Prepaid packages

  • Valid for one year from purchase. This applies to all prepaid packages, including the Ice Bath Only 10-pack.
  • You may share a package with someone else, as long as you, the holder, attend that session too.
  • Unused credits expire after the validity period and are not refunded, except as set out in article 8.

Gift vouchers

  • Valid for twelve months from purchase.
  • Transferable: the recipient may pass the voucher on to someone else.
  • Not exchangeable for cash.
  • In exceptional cases we extend the validity; email amsterdam@yskamer.nl.

7. Memberships

  • Types: Off-Peak Unlimited, Fixed 12 Sessions, Unlimited and Annual. Details and prices are on yskamer.nl.
  • Term and payment: a membership runs per billing period, monthly or annually depending on your choice, and is paid in advance. By purchasing a membership, you agree to recurring payments until you cancel.
  • Use: credits can only be used for the session type included in your membership (25 or 55 minutes ice bath and sauna). Off-Peak Unlimited is valid only for sessions starting Monday to Friday between 10:00 and 15:00; outside that window you pay 50% of the regular price. Unused sessions or credits expire at the end of each monthly period and do not carry over.
  • Personal: memberships and credits are personal and non-transferable.
  • Booking: all sessions are subject to availability and must be booked in advance through the Yskamer booking system. Article 5 applies to cancellations; late cancellations or no-shows lose the credit.
  • Cancelling: you can cancel at any time. The membership stays active until the end of the current billing period. For monthly memberships and the first year of an annual membership, no partial refunds are given.
  • Annual renewal: an annual membership renews for another year after twelve months. If you cancel after such a renewal, you receive a refund for the full months that have not yet started.
  • Fair use: Unlimited memberships are intended for personal, reasonable use. Yskamer may limit usage in case of excessive or abusive booking.
  • Guest passes: with Unlimited you may bring one guest per calendar month, with Annual Unlimited two. Guest passes are subject to availability, personal, non-transferable, cannot be exchanged and do not carry over. Each additional guest costs €15 per session.
  • Member discounts on products may be changed or withdrawn.
  • Price changes: Yskamer may change membership prices with 30 days’ notice. The new price applies from the next billing period. If you do not agree, you can cancel before the new price takes effect.
  • Pausing (for example due to an injury) is possible in exceptional cases; email amsterdam@yskamer.nl.

8. Right of withdrawal

  • Bookings for a session or class on a fixed date and time have no statutory right of withdrawal. The cancellation rules in article 5 apply.
  • If you buy a prepaid package, Intro, gift voucher or membership online, you have 14 days to withdraw from the purchase. Email amsterdam@yskamer.nl to withdraw. If you have already used sessions within those 14 days, you pay for those pro rata.

9. Health and safety

Sauna and ice bath are demanding on your body. When booking, you confirm that you have none of the following: heart conditions, high blood pressure, pregnancy, migraine or epilepsy. If any of these apply, or if you are unsure about your health, consult a doctor before booking.

  • Not under the influence. You may not use the sauna or ice bath under the influence of alcohol, cannabis, drugs or medication that affects your reactions or blood pressure. Heat and cold are dangerous in that state. If we have doubts, we will refuse entry. You will not receive a refund and the session or credit is used.
  • Breathing in the ice bath: hyperventilating and prolonged breath-holding are not allowed in the ice bath. During a class, do breathing exercises only as instructed by the guide, and never in the ice bath.
  • Always follow the instructions of our staff.
  • You are responsible for judging your own health and limits. Stop immediately if you feel unwell and tell a member of staff.

10. House rules

  • Swimwear is required in the sauna and ice bath.
  • Sit or lie on a towel in the sauna. Bring your own or rent one at the studio for €4.
  • Smoking, vaping, alcohol and drugs are not allowed in or around the studio.
  • Respect other guests and the calm of the space. Phones on silent.
  • Children under 16 are welcome only with an adult.
  • Anyone who does not follow the house rules may be refused entry, without a refund.

11. Liability

  • Yskamer is liable for damage that is the direct result of a failure on Yskamer’s part, subject to this article.
  • Yskamer is not liable for damage caused by you withholding a health condition, being under the influence, or not following the house rules or staff instructions.
  • Yskamer is not liable for loss, theft or damage of personal belongings.
  • Except for personal injury, Yskamer’s liability is limited to the amount paid out by its liability insurance in that case, or, if it does not pay out, to the amount of the booking concerned. Yskamer is not liable for indirect or consequential damage.
  • These limitations do not apply if the damage was caused by intent or deliberate recklessness on Yskamer’s part.

12. Complaints

Not happy? Let us know at amsterdam@yskamer.nl. We respond within 14 days. If we cannot resolve it together, you can take the dispute to the competent court.

13. Governing law

Dutch law applies to these terms and all agreements with Yskamer. Disputes are submitted to the competent court in Amsterdam, unless the law designates a different court.

14. Changes

Yskamer may change these terms. The version in force at the time of your booking or purchase continues to apply to that booking or purchase. For significant changes that affect running memberships, we inform you by email in advance.
